You may have heard the phrase “open the Akashic Records”. Some people believe that the first Akashic Record reading you get opens your Records, and is a form of spiritual initiation.
I don’t quite see it this way. In my experience, the Akashic Records are always open and always embedded into our life. However, working with them and having a direct experience of them is heart-opening and transformative. It is a form of initiation because it opens us up to a higher vibration.
What happens when you, or someone else on your behalf, access your Akashic Records? The process is similar to receiving high-frequency energy healing. It is more than just accessing what is “written” for you.
If you are only focused on what is going to happen, or what is the probability of you getting married next spring, or if were a Cleopatra in a past life, you’re working with a small low-vibrational fraction of the Akashic Field. The vibration is low because you give your power away before you even enter the Records.
You’re a victim, bound by your past lives, family, destiny, you name it. You have no power, you are not representing the Creator on Earth, you just want to know your destiny and preferably also feel better about yourself as you do that.
But in my experience, destiny is revealed in retrospect. If you’re really connected into the Akashic Records (and not other places), they will not rob you of your lessons by predicting your future, or giving you a lot of irrelevant details about the past.
An Akashic Record reading will bring to light what needs working on in this moment. That’s where the high vibration of the Akashic Records comes in. The Records ARE. And within them, you ARE.
The Magic of the Akashic Field
Every time we open the Akashic Records, we connect to a very powerful field. In the Akashic Records, you open the door to your soul and to the very fabric of the Universe.
Most people access the Akashic Records for the first time with the help of their guides, masters and teachers. This strengthens the channel of connection to the Soul (the Higher Self). It is like switching on a very bright light in an “upper room” that has been closed for a very long time. At first, the light may be so bright that you don’t see anything. Gradually, however, a new reality begins to take shape and becomes a part of your life.
And we are not talking about a mystical space “out there.”
The Akashic Records are, as I have come to see after many years of working both as a reader and a healer, a memory of the universe. This memory is in a time-space continuum different from the linear reality that we know. The Akashic Records are a memory field that informs the universe. They are a memory and a morphic field at the same time.
The Akashic Records are pure potential and its memory simultaneously. The highest possible outcome and the sum of all probabilities of your life, past, present and future.
(I know, right! pretty wild. Definitely not a linear book set in stone!)
From this perspective, the Records are not simply something outside of you that you have to go to in order to get some wisdom and advise. They are also within you, as a field that in-forms your cells, your organs, your blood.
As unusual, or unexpected as it may seem, I believe the Records are also within us!
Access Your Akashic Records to Learn the Language of the Universe
Based on the above, working with the Akashic Records is never “just” a reading, or “just” a meditation. We are dealing with a very pure, highly vibrational field that holds the structures of all creation here on Earth.
If we work with it, that field will change us, in whatever ways we are able to receive. It will change us because it in-forms us, and everything around us. The Akashic field weaves us into form.
That’s what Akashic level information is! It’s not a book that tells you about past lives. It is possible to approach it from this perspective, but it gets fairly low-vibrational and boring after a while. Same old story.
Thankfully, the Records are so much more than this. The Akashic Field is a code that informs your cells in the mother’s womb.
When you access the Akashic Records, you interact with the code of the Universe.
It is true that anyone can work with the Akashic Records — there is no requirement of a particular spiritual attainment or status. But not anyone will like what they receive in the Records, or be able to discern what they are receiving. Sometimes it is a process of adjustment that takes years.
Even if we see and feel and hear nothing, when the Records have opened, we bathe in their energy. Like sitting in the sun tans our skin, sitting within the Records purifies our soul. This is because the Akashic Records expose us to a higher vibration every time we enter them. This also applies for the times you ask someone to access the Records on your behalf.

But back to Earth. We can still be very practical in the Akashic Records, and get very practical answers!
First of all, we need to recognize that every time we access the Akashic Records, we get in touch with a quantum reality that transcends our thinking minds. It is equally a very humbling and a very elevating experience. The goal of any Akashic Record reading is to change your life. If you don’t want change, that is another story.
There is nothing wrong with asking practical or even silly questions. This is how we learn.
The most important aspect of an Akashic Record reading is agency and power. You can ask about who loves you, which car you should buy or where you should go on holiday. But accessing the Akashic Records places you above the superficial, above the appearances and masks.
So you may receive an answer that what you really want is not a car, but solace for your inner child who still has not recovered from the wounds of abandonment.
Or that the reason for your money troubles is not a curse from a competitor, but a vow you made 20 years ago, when you asked to carry some of the burdens of poverty-stricken children that you met.
Or that the guy you’re interested in thinks he loves you, but this is trauma bonding, not a “twin flame” (in the sense of together-forever) relationship that you were hoping for. And it’s ok, because you both need to heal and then you will draw new love and new opportunities into your life.
It’s ok to not be perfect. No one is anyway.
What you receive from the Records is not just information or facts. You receive an infusion of the Real.
